In today’s populist culture many people or organisations are not trusted.

This list includes politicians, estate agents and unfortunately, some financial institutions and banks.

But not everyone should be tarred with the same brush. There are some really trustworthy politicians, estate banks and pension companies.

However, there are some trustworthy advisers – I would say that wouldn’t I

This begs the question: “who can we trust”? Can we trust ourselves, our friends or the person we meet in the pub?

In my recent article for Money Marketing I argue that when it comes to serious money matters we cannot trust ourselves or non-experts so we need to trust a good financial adviser.
